Luscious Gracious blog
This is actually pretty interesting, I stumbled across this blog after I updated mine. It came up on the list of ones that had been recently updated, so I clicked out of curiousity.
Hopefully Sarah and Tina will see this.. I know that they used to knit awhile back. Really interesting stuff... you should take a look. Always looking for ways to support the artist community =)

0_o Rent.. the blog =)
Well, I have to say that this was the musical that I think about when I think about high school... or rather the music from it. My first love introduced some of the music to me.. I remember that magical night that he put the disk on and we listened to "Light My Candle." I remember reading the words he'd written from them throughout the love letters he gave me throughout that relationship. And even though it didn't work out in the end, it still gives me a warm feeling.. it makes me smile because it happened.
"Seasons of Love" just makes me think of the days with the choir and the drama crowds in Joliet Central.
So, of course when they announced that they were making the movie.. and that Adam Pascal from the original cast (we saw that with the choir one year in high school, and he was in it) was in it, I was eagerly anticipating it coming out. Well, it comes out the 23rd, but here is the link to the movie's blog-- this one is Adam's video blog. There is also a link on there where you can listen to the movie's soundtrack.* Although the soundtrack is great of course, I would highly reccommend the broadway soundtrack-- not all of the people in the movie were in the cast there; like Mimi for example.
Anyways, for those that are Rent heads, and even those that didn't see this great musical.. here's the link.

bond-ish kind of gal
So I have been taking some more of these tests in my free time, and here is what I took recently.. well, one of em. Figured I'd post some of the better ones on here. Seriously should check out this site, it's pretty fun.. something to kill the time with and all that jazz.
The Suave Lover 50% partner focus, 66% aggressiveness, 45% adventurousness |
Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that: You prefer your romance and love to be traditional rather than daring or out-of-the-ordinary, you would rather pursue than be pursued and, when it comes to physical love, you concentrate more on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about your performance. This places you in the Lover Style of: The Suave Lover. The Suave Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and is reminiscent of some of the most classic lover figures of all time, such as Casanova or Don Juan, or more recently James Bond (several of the "Bond girls" fit this type, too). This shouldn't be confused with a "player" or someone who is solely interested in physical love, but someone who is looking for an incredibly elusive thing: a worthy partner. The Suave Lover is a treasure to find, but can be incredibly difficult to hold on to, once found. In terms of physical love, the Suave Lover can sometimes be surprisingly tender. Given the right setting, and the right lover, the Suave Lover can be a delight in bed. Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Devoted Lover (most of all) or the Romantic Lover, or the Liberated Lover. Congratulations! If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! And you say nerd like it's supposed to be a bad thing or something...
So I took a few of these tests on okcupid, and here is the result of one of em... try the tests, they are fun and addictive. Something interesting to pass the time that's for damn sure =p
This one measures you up for how dorky, nerdy, &/or geeky you are.
Modern, Cool Nerd 65 % Nerd, 52% Geek, 21% Dork |
For The Record: A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia. A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one. A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions. You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd. Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)! Congratulations! Hmm to toss or not to toss?
Well, being pretty into the whole photography scene, I checked out the blog of Note: Camera Toss. This is some information about camera tossing that I got off their flickr site. It is posted for informative purposes only.
I think that I am going to look into trying this.. though I don't think I will do it with my Nikon until I am completely comfortable. I think it's a pretty interesting thing that I will be experimenting with later on though-- as part of my later photo-endeavors.
Perhaps, eventually I will get over my paranoia and post some of my stuff.
Anyways, here is the info.. and check out their site to see what it looks like when it's finished.
DEFINING A CAMERA TOSS (and some tips)
- Hands free. Your hands may not be on the camera during the majority of the exposure. Most often that means throwing it. Toss is about fluidity, not just jostling your camera about.
- Experimenting with timers and remote triggers highly encouraged.
- Good catching skills or construction of camera crash nets/pads/bungees/shells highly suggested for high dollar cameras.
- For the most dangerous attempts, use of a very cheap digital or disposable film camera suggested, because they are a cheap investment and pretty indestructible.
- Use of tripods, for reasons of your personal well-being, is highly discouraged. ;)
the odd child.. not surprised...
Damn, it seems that I really haven't been as up to date here as I have with my other blogs. But here's a recap. Right now I have been going a bit nutz playing Sims2. I made a new blog there just for stuff about it.
Kind of have some possible problems going on with the pregnancy. I need to post something on hehwoah, but really wanted to finish up with all those pictures... I mean, it has been a month now. I am just a slacker.
I think I'm going to call Tina today though.
Kind of mixed up my days, and thought today was Monday. I have to get an ultrasound, and possibly an amniocentis done on Tuesday. Problems... we just need to make sure and check. Just subconsciously wish that it was closer to getting this over with so that I could worry less or be more prepared I suppose.
Trying to keep down foods... Anj has me on the "8yr old's diet." Basically, I have found that I can't seem to keep down "normal good foods" but can keep down the junk. Ie McDonalds, grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs, etc.
Very peculiar to me. It sucks. Anj made me a big juicy piece of steak (not that kind, get your mind out of the gutter.) But, immediately after I ate it and the baked potato, I threw it up. It has been happening a lot with other foods too. Pretty much sucks.
Oh, and how in the world can I be having an asian child, when it wouldn't let me hold down fish?! Serioulsy, anytime that I eat fish, it comes right back up too. Just is "fishy" to me really.
Well, with the oddness, I am almost convinced that we are going to have a girl. A picky girl at that... hmm who does that sound like? /looksaroundinnocently
